Southern Paws & Claws Rabbitry

Before you bring your rabbit home...

Rabbit Sales Agreement

We want every purchase to be clear and straightforward.

Please review the following information before reserving or purchasing a rabbit.

A few things to know...

By purchasing or placing a deposit on a rabbit from Southern Paws & Claws, the buyer acknowledges and agrees to the following terms.

01 - Health at Time of Sale

All rabbits are believed to be healthy and in good condition at the time they leave our care.

Buyers are encouraged to examine their rabbit at pickup or upon receipt from a transporter. We do not provide a veterinary health guarantee and are not responsible for veterinary expenses after the rabbit leaves our care.

02 - Sex, Size & Future Development

Every reasonable effort is made to correctly identify sex; however, young rabbits can occasionally be incorrectly sexed. Adult size, mature weight, body type, color development, temperament, fertility, breeding ability and reproductive performance cannot be guaranteed.

03 - Deposits, Payments & Holds

A rabbit is not considered reserved until the required deposit or payment has been received. Deposits are non-refundable when the buyer changes their mind, cannot complete the purchase, or fails to arrange pickup.

Pickup & Transport

Rabbits are located in Ashburn, Georgia. Buyers may pick up directly or arrange an independent transporter. Unless otherwise agreed, the buyer selects, schedules and pays the transporter.

04 - Pickup

Pickup arrangements must be made in advance. Once a rabbit has been handed to the buyer or the buyer's authorized representative, responsibility for the rabbit transfers to the buyer.

05 - Third-Party Transport

Transporters are independent third parties. Any transporter information we provide is offered only as a convenience. Once the rabbit is released to the buyer's chosen transporter, responsibility transfers to the buyer.

06 - Transport & Pickup Delays

Rabbits may remain with Southern Paws & Claws for up to 14 days after purchase at no additional charge while awaiting scheduled pickup or transport.

After 14 days, a $10 per week boarding fee will apply until the rabbit is picked up. Any outstanding boarding fees must be paid before the rabbit is released.

The buyer is responsible for arranging pickup or transport and keeping us informed of the scheduled pickup date. Delays or schedule changes involving a third-party transporter do not waive applicable boarding fees.

07 - After the Rabbit Leaves Our Care

Southern Paws & Claws is not responsible for illness, injury, death, escape, predator loss, veterinary expenses, feeding changes, housing conditions, environmental stress or other circumstances occurring afterward.

08 - Breeding & Reproductive Performance

Unless expressly stated in writing, rabbits are not sold with a fertility or breeding guarantee. Conception, litter size, maternal ability, offspring quality, color outcomes and reproductive performance cannot be guaranteed.

09 - Buyer Responsibility

Buyers are responsible for suitable housing, care, feed, transportation and veterinary resources and for determining whether a rabbit is appropriate for their intended purpose.

Agreement to these terms

Payment of a deposit, partial payment, or full purchase price indicates that the buyer has read, understands, and agrees to this Sales Agreement.

Southern Paws & Claws reserves the right to refuse or cancel a sale when we believe doing so is in the best interest of the rabbit or our rabbitry.
